The last few days I’ve been highlighting all the Marriott promotions and guarantees they have made or will have in the future to encourage us to start planning our vacations. I can only imagine how deep the COVID pandemic has hit them and how desperately they hope their properties begin to fill up with happy travelers.
There are a few more Marriott announcements that might be helpful to you, though I have not been able to find a specific example of these promos in a random search. Marriott is offering a 10% discount on Off-Peak redemption rates as long as you book by February 21, 2021 and travel before September 30, 2021. This discount applies ONLY to hotels showing Off- Peak rates at the time of your travel. What does that mean? Let me show you what that means in a chart. (That’s the easiest way to understand this). Note that the amounts shown in the Off Peak column takes into consideration the 10% discount.

For me personally, 10% off doesn’t get me too excited about it being a great promotion. Having said that, if the hotel you are going to anyway qualifies for this discount, good for you. No discount codes are required for this promotion.
Lastly, the expiration deadlines have been extended again. Marriott Bonvoy has extended the expiration of points until Aug. 1, 2021. They have extended Free Night credits originally set to expire in 2020 through Aug. 1, 2021. And they have extended the expiration of Suite Night Rewards through Dec. 31, 2021.
